ABT is probably the biggest tuner of VW Group cars, and so the improved version of Audi’s best-seller is an obvious target. Yes, we’re talking about the 2013 Audi A4, which has been enhanced in every way and has been renamed the AS4.
“The A4 is an important car for us, too. It always re-defines the premium standard for medium-sized cars. Our AS4 is definitely state-of-the-art. It combines sportiness and assertiveness,” says Hans-Jurgen Abt.
One the performance side, the tuner has targeted the 2.0-liter TFSI by giving it a boost to 275 horsepower. As for the 3.0-liter TFSI in the S4, that’s been brought back to a level of our liking - 435 hp. For those that want to have a sensible tuned A4, there’s also the 3.0 TDI that now makes 282 hp instead of the base 245 hp.
As you can plainly see, the ABT offer also extends to the exterior of the car, as they offer an aero kit that adds spoilers, new side sills, fender inserts and a new diffuser.
