2014 Holden VF Commodore Coupe Is the New Monaro We’ll Never Get [Photo Gallery]
Since then, General Motors did not approve any other Holden coupes for production, not even the gorgeous Coupe 60 Concept that was revealed in 2008. And that’s not going to change, even though the Australian’s have been working on creating a two-door coupe version of the 2014 VF Commodore.
The concept pictured below was created (rendered) by Holden designers Peter Hughes and Simon Gow in collaboration with design firm Dsine International. The two employees kept the Commodore Coupe a secret and worked on it in their spare time. The end result is spectacular if you ask us, but these sketches won’t become a production car, as Holden spokeswoman Andrea Matthews confirmed earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Dsine International says they can’t go further with the VF Coupe due to lack of funding: “If we could we would! This is a concept put together by Dsine International with the help from Simon Gow and Peter Hughes from GMA (Holden) design. It was done after hours and is just a representation of what a VF coupe could look like ... We would all love a new Monaro!”
Blame GM, folks! We won't mind...
