Aston Martin has assaulted us with special editions all year and now the company wants to offer not one or two, but three new ones before we reach 2011, with all the special incarnations being based on the DB9. The first one is the Morning Frost, which aims to offer a luxury premium, coming dressed in Pearlescent White and using a Metallic Bronze leather interior finish.
This is followed by the performance-flavored Carbon Black and Quantum Silver (yes, this is linked to the Quantum of Solace James Bond movie). Both exterior colors are matched with an Obsidian Black interior that uses highly polished Piano Black trimming for the center console and interior door handles.
Both the DB9 Carbon Black and Quantum Silver also bring the six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission, a re-mapped sports exhaust providing a mean sound and unique 19-inch 10 spoke forged gloss black painted diamond-turned wheels. The list of sporty goodies also includes Black grilles, graphite tail pipes, perforated seat inners, semi-aniline leather roof lining, coarse silver stitching and real polished glass switchgear.
The DB9 Morning Frost uses the same transmission, offering 19” 10 spoke silver diamond-turned wheels, silver brake calipers, magnum silver grilles, and metallic bronze leather headlining with perforated seat inners and Piano Black centre console and door grabs.
Aston Martin has gifted all three editions with a unique laser etched sill plaque that features the company’s logo and the special edition’s name. The “Morning Frost”, “Carbon Black” and “Quantum Silver” are already available to order from the company’s global dealer network.
We’ll remind you that 2010 has also brought us the V12 Vantage Carbon Black, DBS Carbon Black, DBS UB2010 and the V8 Vantage N420.
