You Can Put a Gun Rack in the Back of a Volt

While he was on the campaign trail deep in conservative territory, in Suwane Georgia, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich did the easy thing and attacked current US President Barack Obama.
He attacked the Obama administration’s proposed increase of the green car incentives to $10,000, saying Volt owners are basically techies that already make a lot of money, and $10k will buy a regular family a whole second-hand car.

We don’t agree with the Volt being the car of the future, nor do we agree with Gingrich, who doesn’t seem to have basic understanding of how oil markets or green cars work.

What we do agree with, however, is satire and smart people making fun of politicians who will just rant about anything to get a few votes. Gingrich’s affirmation that you can’t put a gun in the back of a Volt is blown away by one Youtuber, who manufactures one out of PVC pipes and rope.

So, you can fit a Ramington Autoloading Shotgun in 12 gage, which is probably a sports gun, a Russian SKS semiautomatic rifle and a Mossberg 590 pump-action shotgun in a Chevy Volt. And when you’re done, there’s room for enough ammunition for the zombie apocalypse.
