Honda CB900 Crash Caused by Slip on Yellow Line

They say that bikes are to be ridden rubber side down, but sometimes doing so is harder than simply saying this. The present video is an excellent example of what can happen if one rides in the wrong place.
Yellow/ white lines are well-known “enemies” of vehicles, and when it comes to motorcycles, they are actual traps. They're way more slippery than the surrounding asphalt, and adding some water makes them more of a roulette game.

To keep on the safe side, it's better to avoid running too much over them; crossing over these lines with a swift maneuver is by far the best approach, just like one would do when having to pass the streetcar rails. Riding on them increases the chances for a wheel slip thousandfold, and crashing just like the guy in the video is more one the “when and how badly” side rather than on the “if” one.
