The American automaker, a General Motors subsidiary, produced the Chevrolet and GMC C/K series of full-size pickup trucks between 1960 and 2002. That's enough time to fall in love with them a few times, right?
Manufactured and marketed by Chevy and GMC – now known as the Silverado and Sierra – the C/K series was known for its wide variety of vehicles, body styles, and powertrains. Four generations were made during that time, and everyone has their favorites, with the second-gen Action Line (1967-1972) usually standing tall among them.

It is deeply loved by both enthusiasts of squeaky-clean, pristine classic trucks and fans of old-school vehicles that hide a lot of modern elements under their bodies. As such, it is no wonder the Chevrolet C/K (C stands for 2WD and K for 4WD) Action Line is also seen as an excellent base for restomods – both real ones and those dreamt by the imaginative realm of digital car content creators.

Regarding the latter, how do you stand out in a crowd where even the 'cheapest' Chevy C10 restomod boasts a lovely LS swap and suspension plus wheels and brakes tuning? You could always go for an outrageous V8 engine like a Coyote V8 or a supercharged Hellcat, but that was done on countless occasions already! So, how about dropping the old-school V8 from the engine bay and fitting the replacement engine in the bed for some crafty mid-rear-engine distribution?

That will surely get the attention of everyone, especially if you leave the mill out in the open. So, how about pushing everything to the next level and spending the money on a Ferrari V12 or something else? That's wild, indeed. And before you ask, it didn't happen – not yet, at least. Instead, it's the figment of the imagination of someone who prepared a custom CGI design for a client. What the latter did with it is anyone's guess, though, as the artist doesn't share.

So, meet London, UK-based virtual artist Al Yasid, better known as al.yasid on social media, who is again making purists run amok – this time crying their Chevy and Ferrari outrage. His design project looks simple from afar – it's a slammed black-and-crimson second-gen Chevy C10 Action Line sporting a few neat details – like the pristine body lines, the aired-out atmosphere, and the massive wheel and tire combination. That would be sorely needed, if ever real, as the bed is now occupied with coping with the furious Italian horsepower of a Ferrari engine!

Do you think it would be cool to see something like this in the real world – and would this qualify as a neat build that could rock the bejesus out of the local quarter-mile dragstrip or not?
