Since the projects that swipe us off our feet at SEMA can be built over the course of a weekend, these builds have to start early. Is February early enough for kicking off such a development? We're not sure. Heck, we don't even know if the rendering seen here will ever become SEMA reality, but we had to share it with you?
Why? Look at the image above and you'll get a 1,000-word answer. Coming from pixel master Jonsibal, the rendering shows a widebody Lexus LC 500. However, this isn't the kind of aero kit that would be installed to fuel the owner's ego. Oh no. We're talking about a fully-berserk racecar here.
Those of you who have followed the obsession we've developed for the LC 500 ever since meeting this slab of Lexus on the floor at the Detroit show might wonder why we are now at our third racecar rendering of the vehicle.
While we hate to admit it, this comes as a bit of a correction. Sure, we brought you an LC 500 racecar rendering soon after the actual car's Detroit debut, followed by a drift car dream, but both of those images showed the car's front end.
For one thing, the posterior of the LC deserves just as much attention, but this isn't the only reason for which we felt the need to return to the topic.
Since we're talking motorsport, the sole purpose of such a vehicle would be to show its rear end to the competition, so here we are, talking about how that generously-sized wing adorns the tail of this Lex.
Will we be greeted by such a contraption at SEMA? Will Lexus build a racing incarnation of the LC and throw it onto the track? As we said, we can't be sure for now, but there's a decent chance of getting two positive answers and that is enough to determine us to wait and see.
