Why the pro cee'd GT Is the Most Important Kia Ever

10 years ago, Kia was making some of the ugliest cars we've ever seen. Now though, they win design awards every other day and have a much sexier lineup. With twin-clutch gearboxes, lots of turbo engines and more of the same lines, the future looks bright for them. That is if this car sells well.
The pro cee'd GT is their first hot hatch, powered by a new 1.6-liter turbo and packed with sporty equipment. If this sells in decent numbers, they will make more, if not than we can say goodbye to their ambitions.

What's instantly noticeable is the bold design. The GT also has lots of kit, as standard kit includes an LCD, black Recaro seats with red stitching, red brake calipers, dual exhaust pipes, distinctive LED daytime running lights and 18-inch wheels.

If you're looking to buy the Astra GTC, a Beetle or a Scirocco, this really is a viable alternative with a less known badge but lots more kit.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
