2013 Kia Pro_Cee’d Makes Road Video Debut

The sportiest member of the Cee’d family is coming next year, and we’re quite taken with it. It’s got the same broad shoulders as any of its FWD coupe rivals out there, but at the same time offers very modern front end features, like headlights connected to the grille.
The car made its official debut at the Paris Motor Show last week, where we found it to be one of the most interesting Kia models ever. Today we bring you the very first driving footage, a promo that portrays the Pro_Cee’d as fun and energetic.

The engine range has not been disclosed, since Kia want to create hype next year when production starts. However, you can be sure we’ll see the same 1.4 and 1.6-liter petrol and diesel motors as the regular 2012 Cee’d. Rumor has it there will also be a hot version, powered by a 1.6 T-GDi turbo. The last Pro_Cee’d had a 140 hp 2.0-liter, but this new semi-hot version will get at least 180 hp.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
