Ever wondered how a successful McLaren family reunion looks like? While there are tons of answers to such a question, we're here to show you what happens when such a family reunion includes three of the most infamous machines the Brits have ever built.
It all has to do with the past weekend, which saw the UK dominating the world's high-octane scene, as Goodwood went for a supercar breakfast. Among the tons of go-fast machines present at the event, we could find a McLaren trio like no other.
This involved a road-legal P1 GTR, a "normal" P1, as well as an F1 GTR Longtail, with the last also coming in road-legal form. While the three obviously paraded around the Goodwood Motor Circuit during the Breakfast Club meeting, which took place on June 5, they obviously also went for a family drive on the road.
Well, seeing the pair of road-legal racecars on the street is the kind of moment that shows just how awesome Mclarens are. In fact, if the road-legal P1 GTR is the kind of machine whose rarity can make the P1 seem... well... standard, we can say the same thing about the relationship between the street-friendly P1 GTR and the road-legal F1 GTR Longtail.
It's all down to the exclusivity factor: while so far we've seen six P1 GTRs getting the road-legal treatment, we're not sure how many F1 GTR Longtails went through a similar conversion process (we expect that number to be two), but McLaren only built ten units of the racecar.
In fact, switching between the street machine and racecar roles is an area where the P1 isn't followed by the other two members of the HHHT (Holy Hybrid Hypercar Trinity).
Make sure to check out the piece of footage below, which offers a good taste of this Mclaren moment.
