These words are not at all to be taken lightly as they are so much more than just a rhetorical ohrase you hear every now and then. Take many a good look at this movie and you'll start to understand that when on a bike, no one cares.
I mean, there is no war between car drivers and motorcycle riders, but some just aren't aware that the traffic surrounding them also means bikes. Mix this reality with some of the riders not careful enough or a brief moment of less focus, and there you go, a bike crash on it's way.
Now, in this particular scenario, this looks like a one-way street. In which case, the white car should have been in the left lane prior to steering into the yard, or at least that's how a polite driver would have made it.
On the other hand, the rider does not seem to have been traveling at a high speed by the time he enters the camera angle, therefore a much better braking technique would have stopped him without thrashing the bike.
Or maybe he wasn't paying enough attention to the traffic ahead and panicked... either way, this rather silly crash could have easily been avoided.
