In Japan they have all sorts of Toyotas and Hondas to choose from, but in Europe, there’s only one car you can strip down and turn into a drifter with heritage, and that’s the BMW 3-Series. That’s by HGK Racing took one very average E46 3-Series coupe and lest only the floor boards, door frames and roof on it standing.
The front and rear have been chopped and reconstructed from lighter tubular steel. If you’re wondering why the car doesn’t sound like a straight-six, that because it is now powered by a LS3 6.2-liter V8 that used to power stuff like the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro.
With a variety of improvements, including a different camshaft and adjustable "VEMS" engine management, power has been boosted to a full 500 horsepower, which is sent to the back via a “Tremec” five-speed gearbox.
