Using a BMW E92 335i against a Corvette C6 in a drag race might seem like a terrible idea at first, but when you have 450 HP, things start looking up.
We just caught wind of this new video on Youtube, showing such a BMW racing a 6-liter V8 Corvette down in Miami, Florida. But things are not what they look like though. Getting more and more into detail we found some interesting facts.
The Bimmer was upgraded using a JB4 ECU remap and some other add-ons that purportedly rose the 3-liter N55 engine's power output to around 450 WHP, which is pretty hard to believe (at the crank, maybe, but not at the wheels).
The 'Vette on the other hand is stock, fitted with the LS2 6-liter V8 engine and producing around 400 HP and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque and a weight of just 1,470 kg (3,241 lbs).
The race was pretty close, without a clear winner, a true statement for the BMW's abilities, especially since it's not wearing any M badges anywhere (and we're quite reluctant towards the power output).
