People always tend to pick on drag cars with four pistons and the Civic has a special base of anti-fans - just check out all the Internet memes mocking VTEC and you’ll understand. Well, we are here now with a Civic that wants to show everybody just how capable it is on the drag strip.
This is the all-motor kind of car, with the K Series engine being heavily modified. Aside for a turbocharger the size of China, the four-banger features individual throttle bodies.

As for the rest of this Civic, the car has gone through an extreme makeover. For instance, while the fat front tires are drag radials, the rear wheels are as skinny as possible to reduce rolling resistance. In fact, the rear tires appear to use an U-shaped profile such as those used by motorcycles.

The air intake in the front apron was blocked off in order to reduce drag, while cooling comes via the removal of the hood.

The end result? This Civic manages to play the quarter mile game in 10.5s - the run was recently recorded at the StreetWars event. Of course, since we're talking four pistons, the soundtrack is more agitation than anything else
