Want to Kill a Toyota Pickup? How About a Brimstone Missile?

Some years ago, Top Gear demonstrated that a Toyota pickup truck (they used an old boxy Hilux) cannot simply die on you, even if you one day decide to put in on top of a building following to bet blasted to hell. However, we found what it can kill it...
Yeah, Top Gear’s Toyota Hilux went through a lot of crap; from falling pianos and scuba-diving to fire and falling along with a 10-story building. Even so, some average mechanics managed to bring it back to life using some basic tools. The still-working wreck can now be seen in their studio each time a show is aired, standing tall as a homage to Toyota’s bulletproof mechanics.

But if they managed to prove it is quite “bulletproof”, we think Toyota never thought about making it missile-proof...

We present you the Brimstone... no, not the sulfur used for thermal baths. There’s another type of brimstone; it’s cylindrical, about 2 meters long, weighs 50 kilos and it’s only purpose is to bring death... £105,000 at a time.

Yep, it’s an air-to-ground missile developed by the United Kingdom, used by RAF and RSAF since 2005. It’s supersonic, guided by a 95 GHz millimeter wave radar and can be easily launched off a fighter plane or an unmanned one.

The US Naval Air Weapons Station recently started to conduct some tests with the Brimstone missiles, probably following to adopt them or something. And they thought it’s a good idea to test them against the strongest thing on earth.

No, a Nokia 3310 is too small for the missile to detect, but a Toyota pickup truck is 'bang on'. However, they didn’t had a Hilux at their disposal, so they had to abuse a handful of Tacomas instead.

A warhead-less Brimstone will just put a big hole through the pickup, which won’t end to its life that easy, but the live one will turn the poor Toyota into a pile of burning twisted metal as you’ll see in the video bellow.
