Last year, Toyota announced to drop the Tacoma X-Runner model from the lineup and replace it with the SR version. However, the Canadian Toyota dealerships will introduce the X-Runner in the offer for 2014.
“The Tacoma X-Runner is the performance-tuned pick-up that stands apart from the crowd,” said Larry Hutchinson, Vice President at Toyota Canada Inc. “With unique styling, plus a powerful drive train, the Tacoma X-Runner adds distinctive design and maximum performance to the proven capability and value that are hallmarks of every Toyota truck.”
The Toyota Tacoma X-Runner will hit the dealers in March and it will be available as a limited edition model. Until then, enthusiasts can see the new model displayed at the 2014 Canadian International Auto Show running between 14-23 February at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
As with the previous generation, the X-Runner will come with the rear suspension X-member reinforcing structure, enhanced front suspension, special body colors, premium sound system, 18-inch alloy wheels, front sport seats, covered cargo space and more features.
