VW Takes Lamborghini Orange County to Court for $12 Million Theft

The news that Lamborghini Orange County was closing its doors without any explanation in November last year came as a great surprise for everyone. At first sight, you could have easily put the blame on the famous economic crisis, but in fact it wasn't like that.

A recent report on Ocregister helped us solve the mystery for the closing the world’s largest dealer of the Italian luxury automaker. Judging by some court documents, the owners of Lamborghini O.C. in Santa Ana are charged with “outright theft” of about $12 million by selling 54 luxury sports cars in just eight days at deep discounts.

More importantly, according to a lawsuit filed by Volkswagen Credit Inc. in Orange County Superior Court, the owners of the dealership, Vik Keuylian and his sisters Asdghig, Nora and Sossi Keuylian, seemed to have run away with the money as they failed to pay the creditor. The lawsuit adds that VW Credit paid the cost of Lamborghini O.C.’s cars in advance of sale but didn't get the money from the proceeds.

Jeffrey Gubernick, family Keuylian's lawyer refused to comment on the allegations in the lawsuit as the case is still under litigation but a hearing is due on January 22.

However, this is not the only lawsuit concerning Lamborghini Orange County. It seems that East-West Bank is also suing the Keuylians and Lamborghini Orange County for not paying a $3 million loan, in November and December.

And if you thought things stopped just here, you're wrong. The Keuylian family is in serious trouble as Vik Keuylian is also accused of not paying $340,000 to Stephen Cloobeck, the former owner of a 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago. Although he took the car from him, he has never paid him the money.

It's more than obvious that the Keuylian family managed to get away with the money but we are extremely curious to find out whether they are able to escape all these trials as well...
