VW Picks Saepio for Dealer Advertising

The American division of German manufacturer Volkswagen announced today it has selected Saepio to handle the localized marketing for its 600 dealers US dealers. Simple as it may seem, Saepio's task is not at all easy, as it must mold itself in such a manner that it would allow VW to reach an 800,000 vehicles/year target by 2018 and go back to profitability in the US.

Saepio will help dealers with marketing asset management and ad builder tools in light of the launch of the Jetta, Beetle and a new midsize sedan. Each of the dealers will create their own advertising campaigns, based on VW guidelines.

"As we revamped our Ad Lab, we sought a visionary technology partner that not only provides a state of the art tool today, but has the future vision and technology roadmap to continue to provide industry-leading advertisement creating capabilities to grow with us well into the future," Steve Neder, Volkswagen Retail Marketing manager said when announcing the appointment.

"Through our extensive search for a new partner we found Saepio is the only marketing technology provider that can bring us that result."

Word of the Volkswagen goodies will spread through corporate print, TV, radio, digital, direct marketing and experiential marketing. Each of the ads will be open to all dealers for updates and modifications.

"We look forward to working so closely with an iconic company, Volkswagen, to help grow its operation,"
John Thomson, Saepio CEO added. "Volkswagen is a true marketing visionary, and we're excited to be its partner as it enters new channels and creates new experiences for its customers."
