“At Volkswagen, we have a tradition of supporting attractive, customer-oriented and emotional events, such as the GTI meet at Worthersee recently, which attracted around 120,000 visitors. Hence the Red Bull Air Race constitutes the ideal environment to present our brand and our sports models, like the Scirocco R, to a wider public.”
Besides supporting the Red Bull Air Race, Volkswagen is also a team sponsor of the German pilot Matthias Dolderer, who will wear the German manufacturer’s logo on his airplane in future races.

Since 2004, the logo of the Austrian beverage company has been the constant companion of the successful Race Touareg team that scored a triple victory at the world’s hardest marathon rally, the Dakar, just this January. The partners are now extending their successful cooperation even further: Starting with the upcoming race at Windsor, Canada, on 6 June, Volkswagen will be providing support to the races as a global sponsor with vehicles and logos,” stated the press release.
