A little bit earlier, we showed you a series of spyshots of the upcoming Volvo XC40, a crossover that will use the new V40 as a starting point. We are now back on the topic, as the vehicle has been spied wearing no camouflage at all.
The car was caught on camera while it was in Norway for an official photo shoot and we have to tell you that we like what we see. The crossover assets don’t just come in the form of an increased ride height - compared to the V40, the XC40 also uses protective plastic elements for the body, aluminum details, as well as a new front bumper that brings a dynamic design.

Under the hood however, the engines should stay the same, which means that petrol fans will be able to choose from outputs ranging from 150 to 250 hp, while those who prefer diesel will be offered powerplants with outputs ranging from 115 to 177 hp.

Volvo should introduce the new XC40 at the Paris Motor Show this fall, but we’ll certainly find out more details about the vehicle until then.
