Volvo wants to be known for building safe cars, for sensible people with gray clothes and big families. And so as not to get their hands dirty, Polestar and TTA have built the racing car that will soon be entered in the Swedish Racing Elite League.
The S60 TTA still looks like a sedan, but only just. It’s got a carbon fiber body, a huge wing on the back and a massive engine at the rear. We’re talking about a 420 hp V6 racing monster, motivating the back wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission.
The Volvo S60 TT features double wishbone suspension with three way dumpers, and rolls on 18 inch wheels wrapped in tires size 260/660-18 at the front and 80/660-18 at the rear.
A total of four S60 TTAs will be raced by two teams this year - Volvo Polestar Racing and Volvo Polestar Performance.
