The cars Swedish company Volvo makes are known the world over for a lot of things, but none of these things has anything to do with tuning or other kinds of aftermarket upgrades. Just think about it: when was the last time you drooled over a modified Volvo?
Chances are that never happened, but that may change thanks to just a touch of modifications that have been envisioned for the Swedish carmaker's latest star in the lineup, the electric EX30.

The brains behind the mild yet effective upgrades are called Everlast. The name may not mean a lot, but it should be mentioned that it came out the same minds that gave us Heritage Customs, a Netherlands-based crew that has been delighting us for years with crazy interpretations of Land Rovers.

Everlast is supposed to be in charge of coming up with upgrade packages for the cars released into the world by Scandinavian brands, and by that, they meant mostly Volvo, of course.

And by upgrade packages these guys mostly mean new sets of wheels and the paint jobs to make a vehicle stand out. That's the same treatment that was applied to the EX30, and even if it may seem a bit understated, it's a treatment that is worth at least a close look, firstly because it's the first ones the new Volvo model gets, but also because you don't see all that many modified Volvos around, remember?

Everlast is offering two upgrade packages for the small SUV, namely Sport and Outland, each "designed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the EV."

The Sport package comprises two separate wheel designs, but both in the same size, namely 21 inches, which is one full inch above everything you can get your hands on as OEM parts. The alloy wheels come in double four-spoke or eight-spoke designs and are both diamond cut.

On top of that the Sport package brings to the table color-coded roof and bumpers, while the spoilers and hub caps come with orange accents.

Whereas Sport is meant to give the EX30 an exciting city look, the Outland is supposed to convey a more rugged, off-road capable appearance. That was achieved through the deployment of 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels in a four-spoke concave design.

The wheels are matched visually by matte black graphics on the roof, hood, and rear, but also bright green details on the body and the hubcaps.

Everland says the customization packages are available on pre-order, and you can already see them in detail on the customizer's website. Pricing for the two sets sits at around 10,000 euros, which is roughly $11,000 at today's exchange rates. If the package is too much, the wheels can be had separately for a slightly lower price.

The EX30 was launched by Volvo in the summer of this year. It comes with the promise of a 275-mile (443 km) range, a charging time of under half an hour using DC fast charging, and an acceleration time to 60 mph of 3.4 seconds.

The Volvo EX30 is offered in the U.S. for $34,950.
