At last year’s Geneva Motor Show, Volkswagen showed off a special concept version of their Amarok pick-up, called the ‘Canyon’. Now, they have translated that concept into a special version which has just been revealed at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show, in Hanover, Germany.
It is based on the Amarok Trendline, and gets rocker guards, a roll bar, a black rear bumper, cargo cover, special 17-inch rims, and smoked tail lights to finish off the rugged look. It is also available in a special color, callel Copper Orange, only available on the ‘Canyon’.
The Amarok Canyon will go on sale next year, with pricing information becoming available closer to its actual launch. Buyers will be able to opt for the same 2.0-liter TDI, which is available in two power outputs, as well as on-demand four-wheel drive.
