Every time we go to a major motor show in Europe, there’s some Chinese folks, one carrying a clipboard, the other a tape measure, and they are usually going over the dimensions of some brand new German car or another. That’s only the groundwork for the cloning process, which sometimes is accurate and sometimes isn’t.
Like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie 5th Day, you’re not going to be too glad to find out some people have stolen. And VW officials will surely not be very happy to see these photos of a Chinese clone of the Amarok pickup.

This vehicle is called the T3 and is built by a Chine company called CHTC. Power comes from a 2.4-liter Mitsubishi engine and it even has all wheel drive. They copied most of the lines of the actual Amarok, but made the grille a bit more ca-like.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
