Volkswagen Passat CC Revised for the UK Market

Volkswagen’s sporty saloon, the Passat CC will receive multiple revisions for the UK market to add new technologies and increased flexibility.

One of the most important changes of the coupe-like sedan is the fact that it can now accommodate five passengers through the addition of an extra space placed between the rear seats.

The car’s standard equipment list, which already featured 2-zone automatic climate control, a leather finish for the steering wheel, gear knob & handbrake, six airbags and 17 inch alloy rims, now includes a satellite navigation system and a touchscreen Bluetooth device.

The GT model, which comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive chassis control (AAC) and heat insulating tinted glass, includes these revisions and also gets a Nappa leather interior finish, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control.

Volkswagen says that the entry-level model’s price will be increased by 515 pounds sterling, while the new equipment is worth 1,000 pounds sterling. The same goes for the GT model, who gets a 1,000 pound sterling price increase, while the extra equipment that has been fitted on it would cost 3,000 pounds sterling.

The Passat CC maintains its current range of engines, including the 1.8 liter TSI, 2.0 liter TSI and 3.6 liter V6 petrol powerplants and the two versions of the 2.0 liter TDI diesel unit.
The petrol Passat CC range starts at 22,645 pounds sterling, for the 1.8 liter TSI model and tops at 32,995 pounds sterling, for the CC GT model equipped with the 3.6 liter V6 powerplant. The diesel line-up starts at 23,230 pounds sterling, for the 140 hp 2.0 TDI model and goes up to 26,800 pounds sterling, for the CC model equipped with the 170 hp 2.0 liter TDI and the DSG double clutch gearbox.
