Volkswagen Caddy Pricing Announced

Volkswagen’s UK division has announced the pricing for the new Caddy and Caddy Maxi.

The Caddy range includes the new Caddy C20 and C20+ (this offers an increased payload) vans, the Caddy Maxi van, the Caddy Maxi window van the Caddy Maxi MPV, formerly marketed as the Life.

The pricing starts at 12,100 pounds ($18,636 or EUR14,652) for the 1.6 liter 75 hp TDI Caddy van and at 14,050 pounds ($21,633 EUR17.013) for the entry-level Caddy Maxi model powered by the 1.6 liter 102 hp TDI engine. The prices do not include VAT.

Featuring fresh styling and a range of new engines as well as upgraded materials and a new choice of comfort, convenience and safety options, the new Caddy and Caddy Maxi promise to be the most economical and refined iterations of the popular range yet,” stated the press release.

The Caddy range’s standard equipment list includes Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), automatic hazard lights activation for emergency braking, driver airbag, speed sensitive power steering, remote central locking and a CD sound system with an auxiliary socket.

Adopting the new Volkswagen family look with a mix of clean, horizontal lines that already features on the Transporter, the new Caddy range represents strong value for money over the outgoing models with five versions available from launch,” stated the press release.

The Caddy can be ordered wit the seven-speed DSG double clutch gearbox for the first time, with certain models available with the 4MOTION four-wheel-rive system. The range will also include two BlueMotion models that offer low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures.

The order books for the new Caddy range will be opened on September 27, while the first deliveries will take place in November.
