The Nurburgring is, by far, the best track in the world to drive on, as long as you have the right gear and skills, of course. I mean, even the legendary Niki Lauda crashed and burned on the Green Hell and he really knew what he was doing.
However, tourists can drive on the legendary track for a small tax, to see exactly where so many prototypes are being tested and get a feel of the asphalt.
Needless to say that most of them are overconfident and end up crashing, damaging their cars and the side walls in the process. Add wet asphalt and cold weather to the mix and you’re bound to get a couple of fails so you should bring your camera.
