Versa, Rogue and Juke Boost Nissan's US Sales in November

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) reported strong sales figures in the US today. According to the company, some 71,366 units have been shifted during the month versus 56,288 a year earlier, a 26.8 percent increase. This is partly thanks to the success of the company’s luxury branch, Infiniti, which saw sales grow by 45 percent compared to a year ago.

Nissan vehicles posted sales of 63,184 units in November compared to 50,644 units sold in November the previous year, an increase of 24.8 percent. The company’s top performer was the Rogue crossover, of which a record 8,525 were deliveries, 67.1 percent more than last year.

The Versa also set new record sales, 6,724 were delivered, 21.1 percent more than in the same month of last year. Nissan’s new compact SUV, the Juke, continued the successful run it started at its launch, reaching 3,373 units sold.

“Nissan is maintaining momentum across the lineup, including the launch of the all-new Juke sport cross. Rogue and Versa led the way, and we’re also pleased to see substantial gains from vehicles like Altima and our trucks and SUVs,” according to Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan division.

Infiniti did surprisingly well in November, selling 8,182 cars, up 45 percent from the 5,644 units sold in the same month a year earlier. Infiniti sales are up 26.3 percent for all of 2010. This is thanks to the success of the all-new QX SUV and Infiniti M models, but also the refreshed G25 sedan.

“The all-new Infiniti M and QX models continue to lead our strong sales growth, with triple-digit percentage gains. With the enhancements we’ve made to our core G Line, we’re seeing more customers respond by visiting our showrooms,
” stated Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit.
