It's been a while since we last wrote about Vencer's plans to release the Sarthe supercar, and we almost thought that the Dutch manufacturer almost caved in on the project.
But it seems they've been quite busy working on the car, which is almost ready to go into production. Available to our eyes just through this fresh teaser photo, the Vencer Sarthe will be unveiled next month at the Top Marques Monaco event.
Until then, Vencer has released additional info about its first supercar. Described as "an exclusive hand-built 2-seater sportscar", the Sarthe is built on a hybrid space frame chassis with high-grade tubular steel and chrome-molybdenum structure. The body panels are made of carbon fiber, while the floor consists an aluminum honeycomb structure, making the vehicle "lightweight, super strong and rigid".
The production car will sport the same V8 mid-engine configuration and 6-speed transaxle gearbox as the concept car, with power rated at 510 HP and 480 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque last year. Top speed is 202 mph (326 kmh), while 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration can be achieved in just 3.8 seconds.
Inside the cabin, the Sarthe will have leather sports seats, LCD screen, climate control, electric windows, in-car entertainment, central locking and alarm as standard, with other features to be added by costumer request.
Keep in touch for more info and first official photos of the Vencer Sarthe as the 2013 Top Marques Monaco is closing in.
