Vauxhall, 2011 Top Employer in Britain

The automotive sector is one of the best industries to work in even during the dire times we are experiencing, and proof of that are the countless car makers from all over the world that have received top employer titles from various organizations.

Until now, most of those titles have been granted to automakers that are more global in nature. This week, however, Vauxhall proves that you don't have to sell cars in more than one market to be able to provide the best conditions for your employees.

This week the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute included Vauxhall on the list of top employers in the UK, based on independent research carried out by the CRF Institute and audited by Grant Thornton. The title went to the oldest British automaker because of the human resources policies and working conditions for its employees.

“We are extremely proud of our employees and value our relationship based on trust, dedication and passion for the job in hand,” said Phil Millward, Vauxhall’s HR Director.

“Together, we are actively building the future of manufacturing in Britain, offering an array of skilled and high profile jobs within our organisation as well as highly commended graduate and apprenticeship schemes."

Alongside Vauxhall, another 58 companies from all fields of activity were named top employers by the CRF. They all, including Vauxhall, had to pass the scrutiny of the institute in several areas related to the human resources policies, including Primary Benefits, Secondary Benefits & Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development, and Company Culture.
