The German tuners from Vath have recently revealed a custom turbo kit for the new Mercedes C 250 CGI which manages to raise the output to 270 horsepower, charging customers about EUR 1,200 for this conversion. This makes the Vath Mercedes C 250 CGI around 66 horsepower more powerful than the standard model.

This increase in the amount of power was made possible thanks to an optimized engine electronics, a Vath charged air cooler and sports exhaust system. That is, of course, if you are willing to pay some extra EUR 3,200 for these tweaks.

However, the tuners say that when only the ECU upgrade is applied the car develops 255 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque.

The Vath Mercedes C 250 CGI can reach top speeds of 161 mph (260 km/h) so to improve stability and handling, a lower and stiffer suspension has been added, with large 360 mm front, 320 mm rear brake discs also fitted.

“A complete running gear worthy of a racecourse has also been built in and has height and strength adjustable buffers as well as progressively harmonised springs so that the car drives comfortably on the one hand but still extremely precisely on the road,” a company statement reads.

The package comes with a weight optimised body kit that includes a carbon hood (EUR 4,641), carbon front spoiler (EUR 1,416) and rear diffuser (EUR 1,773), a carbon boot lid spoiler (EUR 333) plus light 19 inch alloy wheels (EUR 5,355 for the complete set).
