Probably encouraged by the success their game, Splash Cars, had on mobile and later on PC, developer Paper Bunker has decided to port it on consoles. As the name suggests, you’ll be riding a splash car, paint oozes from your vehicle leaving a colorful trail behind.
Although it focuses on the multiplayer aspects, Splash Cars can be played without friends without any trouble. The main goal is to paint entire maps in vivid colors avoiding cops who are watching and chase you when they see you drive.

The game features 18 cars and many ways to unlock them either by using coins or blueprints. All cars included in the game come in three paint jobs to make them stand out if you’re planning to play with a friend.

Each map is populated with power-ups that can help players sabotage cops or even supersize or shrink their cars. One tiny, interesting twist is that you can convert NPCs to join your cause by painting the streets before them.

You start each race on a gray-colored isometric neighborhood, so you’ll have to rev your engines and paint oozes from your car, restoring color to the streets, grass, trees, surrounding buildings and more as you speed around the map avoiding the police.

Obviously, everything is better and funnier when you team up for cooperative multiplayer, but you can take on the challenges and progress solo just as well.

The isometric 3D driving game doesn’t have a release date, but we do know Splash Cars will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch in Q1 2022.

Players who want to taste a slice of what’s coming to consoles soon can download the free-to-play Splash Cars mobile game on their Android devices. PC players have the choice of either getting the full game for $4 or download the free Splash Cars demo via Steam.
