New ‘Burnout Paradise’ Packs Coming Soon

Criterion Games, based in Guilford, UK, has recently announced new downloadable packs, Cops and Robbers’ Pack and ‘Big Surfs Island’ Premium, for the Burnout video games series.

‘Burnout Paradise’ is the latest in Criterion driving game series for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The action is set in an open world called Paradise City which is packed with car-based action. Gamers are able to choose from 4 online game modes or take on 490 challenges together.

This year, Criterion Games has diversified the game through downloadable content. The new packs include additional cars and fan-created paintwork designs, motorcycles and characters, dynamic weather or day/night cycle and gameplay. First the free ‘Cagney Pack’, then a new free game featuring motorcycles called ‘Burnout Bikes’ and the most recent, ‘Trophy Support’, for PS3 owners.

Until the ‘Big Surfs Island’ Pack gives gamers the chance to practice on their big air jumps (the highest on the game), ‘Cops and Robbers’ will be available for $9.99/€9.99/ £7.99 from Thursday, April 30. As the name implies, you will be able to control cop and robber car chases in Paradise City.

For a bit of game briefing, following reports of increasing levels of criminal activity, the Paradise City Police Department (PCPD) is preparing a massive operation to move the Paradise gold reserves to a safer location. But robbers will not just stay still and let them complete their mission. For this purpose, PCPD made a call to global police forces to come to their assistance.
