A friend asked me something unexpected the other day: "Can you teach my seven-year-old son how to become an influencer?" I didn't know whether I should be humbled or appalled. So many kids think this is the way to go, but I'm still determining how long it will all last.
You'll find influencers in the Hot Wheels community, too. Some have hundreds of thousands of followers. And they're lucky because they always seem to get their hands on any upcoming models months in advance. If you follow the top five guys in this game, you may already know what's coming up this year. But if you don't have the time to start searching for them, this story will reveal some of the exciting news on the horizon.

Mix 2 of the Fast & Furious Premium series contains at least two models people will want to purchase. The first is the Nissan "Mona Lisa" S15, but we've seen that in previous sets. I'm really eager to see the Toyota Soarer, a brand new casting by Mark Jones and Ronald Wong. Things are on the move with the Team Transport series, too.

In 2024, we'll see a new iteration of the Second Story Lorry, now transporting a Fiat 131 Abarth. The Sauber C9 is returning with its third iteration, but it might be almost identical to the previous one. If new castings are what you're looking for, then the '66 Porsche 906 Carrera 6 is bound to capture your attention. Ultra Hots Mix 2 is also coming up, and it's a good combo of cars built in the USA, Japan, and Germany.

The ones I'd love to add to my collection are the '78 Porsche 935-78 and the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno. Looking over the Car Culture 2-pack series, we know that four Ford models are coming. You can also count on two more Mazdas and two Volkswagens, one of which we last saw years ago. 2024 may be crucial in deciding whether or not the Elite 64 series gets the green light for 2025.

Collectors have expressed mixed feelings about these vehicles, which are costly and not numbered. The good part is that this line's upcoming models are brand-new castings. We saw six releases in 2023: the 1996 Toyota Chaser JZX100 and the LBWK Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 were the most popular ones. And so far, I've seen sneak peeks of five models for 2024. The list includes two Japanese vehicles: the Pandem Datsun 280ZX and the '17 Toyota Tacoma.

Additionally, you can look out for three European models: the Porsche 928 Safari, the '90 BMW 318i Touring, and the Bugatti Type 59. If Mattel sticks to a six-model structure, the final car could hail from the USA. But we'll probably learn more about that within the next few months.
