Unbelievable Bad Luck - What Would You Do If This Happened to You?

There are days - sometimes even weeks, months, years, lives... - when things just don't go your way. You spill your coffee, dent your car, crack a tooth, get fired, miss the bus - the sort of things you can deal with on their own, but when they gang up on you, you risk going berserk. Just like Michael Douglas' character in "Falling Down."
Life is full of small misfortunes, but they are usually spread out well enough for us to cope with one - or at least a few - at a time. Get an overdose, and you might lose it. And what counts as an "overdose" varies in number or intensity for each and every one of us.

For some, it might be enough to get cut off to make them reach in the glove compartment, pull out a gun and go ballistic. Others can go through a whole day of driving through a busy city and not feel irritated at all, but if they get home and find that their wife hadn't warmed up the meal, they turn the house upside down. Us humans, we're weird like that.

However, there are those tiny little things that eat at the heart of all of us. For instance, stepping on a Lego brick. Or getting interrupted while we're counting something (preferably money). After seeing this clip, we can now declare that what this driver endured must be added to the list.

So he's getting ready to exit a paying parking lot and comes at the barrier behind a Mercedes-Benz C-Class station wagon. He has his token or bar code card handy, so he inserts it to open up the barrier when his turn comes. What happens next? An idiot on a scooter flies by, so the automatic barrier registers a vehicle went by and closes before our man had the time to go through.

What can he do now? We don't know if this is the case, but just for added drama, we like to think there was a line of several cars already formed behind him, so backing up wouldn't have been that easy. Well, instead of being on his way, he now has to find somebody working for that parking garage, explain the situation, maybe watch some CCTV footage if they don't believe him, and then, half an hour later, he's ready to begin the search for newly found nemesis on a scooter, hunt him down and do unspeakable things to him.

Even though we empathize with the poor guy, we laughed so hard when we first saw the incident. It's just so unexpected, so stupid, and yet so typical of the way things go in life sometimes that you start wondering how come we haven't seen something like this in a Seinfeld episode. Too bad we can't see the guy's facial expression as the barrier went down. We're betting on a dumbfounded straight face. How about you?
