The fact that the Viper was retired back in 2017 (we still have no details on a potential revival) means nothing to the aftermarket community, which has obviously continued to work on the V10 machine. As such, beasts such as the 1,900 horsepower example we have here are not a surprise anymore.
The Viper's natural enemy? The Nissan GT-R, apparently. In factory trim, the American and the Japanese machines made for "budget-friendly" ways of dealing with  Italian exotics (you'll find our reviews behind those highlighted words above). However, we've already established that we're dealing with heavily modded machines here.

And while, as a platform, the Dodge has evolved into a monster, the R35 GT-R arguably makes for a more popular drag racing tool, at least when it comes to the quarter-mile run; street car-based builds (as opposed to Pro Mods) now deliver mid-6s passes like it's nothing.

Nevertheless, the units we have here duked it out on the road. And, before zooming in on the details, we have to ask you to skip such adventures and head over to the track when you feel like racing since that's how you stay on the safe side.

Beside, as you'll see in the clip below, which comes from the velocity veterans over at 1320video, a night of street racing can easily be flooded with more or less successful efforts to reach a fair race or an even start - we've listed the highlights of the vid below, though, so you can always skip straight to the action.

Now, this Viper, an ACR that has been massaged by Calvo Motorsports, has seen its V10 being stroked to 9 liters, while working with twin 76mm turbos and a sequential transmission. And, to put the 1,900 horsepower down, the machine features the stock suspension, ride height and all, while sporting Belak Industries beadlock wheels at the back.

During the said night of competitive sprinting, as well as the following day, the Viper duked it out with at least three pumped-up GT-Rs and we'll list these in the order of their horsepower numbers: 1,500 hp (6:56 point of the clip below), 1,700 hp (11:28 timestamp) and the 1,900 hp mack daddy (5:20 for nighttime shenanigans and 14:30 for some downright brutal action under the sun, with the Viper using its most aggressive ECU map).
