We have always been impressed by what the policemen drive in the United Arab Emirates. But it seems that Dubai is not the only place where the cops cruise around in supercars or luxury vehicles. The Turkish Police Department has a fleet of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Bentleys.
All the cars that are now in the possession of the Turkish Police Department have been seized in a $3.4-million drug trafficking case solved in an organized crime investigation.

Former governer of Istanbul, the Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya was the one who uploaded a relevant video on former Twitter / current X. The one-hundred-second video shows a large fleet of sports cars, supercars, luxury cars that have all been inspected by the minister.

They used to belong to persons involved in drug trafficking before they were seized by the authorities during the past weekend and converted into police cars.

The Turkish authorities had to deal with 23 vehicles in total. There is a Bentley Continental GT, sitting between a Porsche Taycan and a Ferrari 458 Italia in the front row.

The Continental GT is a vehicle powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 542 horsepower (550 metric horsepower) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Ferrari 458 is set in motion by the naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine, which generates 562 horsepower (570 metric horsepower) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque, taking the supercar from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) in 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 202 mph (325 kph).

There is no info on the variant of the Porsche Taycan, but if the Turkish police got their hands on the Turbo S, that one is by far the most potent of the fleet. It is rated at 751 horsepower (762 PS) and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm), making it a loaded gun in the hands of the policemen.

A Range Rover Sport and a Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs also show up in the video. Several Mercedes and Audi sedans, a Volkswagen Golf R, and a Volvo XC90 are also part of the new police fleet.

All vehicles wear the livery of the Turkish police and amount to around 100 million Turkish Liras, which translates to around $3.4 million. All the cars are sourced from a single truck trafficker, named Hakan Ayik.

A Turkish citizen, he was the leader of the Comanchero Motorcycle gang based in Australia. His wealth was estimated at around $1 billion. He and 36 of his associates were arrested in Istanbul. His cars were seized at the end of December.

"Following the court decision, these vehicles were handed over to our police," said Turkish Interior Minister Yerlikaya on social media. The Turkish police force will be using them in drug-related situations in Istanbul. Before the Turkish police got their hands on the exotics, the United Arab Emirates police fleet was the one that awed locals and tourists alike. Several McLarens, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, and a Dodge Viper are police cars in Dubai. The AEU authorities have recently added several Chinese models to the fleet, such as the Hongqi E-HS9, coming from the carmaker providing the Chinese state limousine for President Xi Jinping.
