The 2014 Toyota Yaris is now available in the UK, with new grade line-ups prioritizing features today’s customers value most. There is also an added incentive for the 1.4 D-4D diesel model that now emits under 100 g/km CO2, qualifying for the zero annual road tax bill.
The new Yaris now comes in a new four-grade structure - Active, Icon, Icon Plus and Trend - replacing the previous designations.
Key features for the standard Active version include a six-speaker audio system with Aux and USB connectivity, audio controls on the steering wheel, electric front windows, height-adjustable driver’s seat, seven airbags, VSC and Traction Control.
The Icon grade adds 15-inch alloy wheels, body-colored electric mirrors, body-colored doorhandles, a Toyota Touch multimedia system, rear-view camera, tachometer, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity and leather trimmed shifter/steering wheel.
Moving up to Icon Plus, this one comes with added front foglights, rain-sensing wipers, automated headlights, dual zone climate control, electric rear windows, cruise control and air conditioned glovebox compartment.
The Trend version ups the ante with 16-inch alloy wheels, exterior chrome details, rear privacy glass, matte black C-pillar decal, leather trimmed with yellow stitching steering wheel/handbrake and some other special interior trimmings.
You can also chose between three optional packs to add more features and style to your Yaris. The Smart Pack (£300) add keyless entry and push-start button. The Protection Pack (£700) covers all bases to guard against the rough and tumble, providing front and rear parking sensors, floor mats, mud flaps, black side moldings and a rear bumper protection plate. Last but not least, the Style Pack (£500) fits LED daytime running lights, aluminum scuff plates and chrome trim on the tailgate and exhaust tip.
