Following its launch at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China today, Lexus announced the official details for its facelifted CT 200h which is coming with both a more stylish exterior and a more refined interior.
On the outside, Lexus’ signature spindle grille now plays a major role for the refreshed front fascia of the new CT, with its bottom corners spaced further apart, adding to the overall effect of reinforcing the vehicle’s low front profile and wide track. More details include reshaped bumpers and foglight surroundings, new 10-spoke rims available in 16- or 17-inch, a revised range of paint colors, glossy black roof and shark-fin antenna.
The interior seems to held the majority of the improvements, made to deliver greater comfort and increased conveniency. The CT now bears the same steering wheel as the IS model, while the multimedia screen has been made thinner and the second generation Remote Touch Interface controller has been revised with a more user-friendly push-action enter-command switch.
More technologic improvements are represented by the addition of a rear view monitor for the Lexus Media Display, a tire pressure warning system and an OFF setting for the traction control. The interior also received new insert colors and combinations, with improved materials and metal finishes.
Mechanically, the facelifted CT wears the same powertrain but comes with a greater body rigidity, revised suspension settings and a remapped transmission control.
The F Sport pack adds the special mesh to the spindle grille while the rear roof spoiler will come with cut-outs for increased downforce. F Sport 10-spoke rims and colors will also be available, while the interior will come with aluminum pedals, scuff plates and perforated steering wheel and shift lever.
The facelifted Lexus CT 200h is expected to reach the European market in March 2014. Prices were not mentioned yet.
