Despite the bad weather this weekend, Toyota Racing managed to win for the first time this season at Fuji in Japan.
Having been kept in the garage after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the No.7 TS030 of Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima returned to action and crossed the finish line first at the 6 Hours of Fuji this weekend.

The win went to Nakajima, driving a total of 16 laps behind the safety car, with the race starting under yellow flag and paused just eight laps due to rain fall.

The race got restarted, finding the No.7 Toyota leading the pack still behind the safety car, while the leading Audi had to stop at the pits for some aero fixes. Then, the officials decided the rain was too heavy for the cars to even run behind the safety car, so they ended the race for good.

"It is the first win for us this season. I am not really sure we can call it a win, but finishing first does mean a lot to the team. " said Kazuki Nakajima.
