After ten years of operating, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas closes down to one million trucks produced.
The one millionth unit is expected to roll off the assembly line on September 17 this year. The number could have been reached sooner if the plant wasn’t forced to suspend its activity between August to November in 2008 during the economic downturn.

Last year, the Toyota plant in Texas has surpassed its 200,000 vehicle capacity, producing 219,000 Tundra and Tacoma models, a record obtained with the help of 2,900 skillful workers housed in the facility.

Toyota trucks got placed in different surveys this year, like the Tundra model that was nominated as one of the most reliable pickups in the US, while the Tacoma makes one of the best working man trucks of the year.
