Extreme pickup truck builds appear to be more popular than ever. Even so, the one portrayed in the rendering sitting on our screens right now might appear odd at first - why would anybody do this to a Toyota Tacoma?
Before we zoom in on the pixel build, allow me to point out that this is no way strange. In fact, Toyota Racing Development, the automaker's go-fast arm, brought a monster similar to this one at last year's SEMA show. Heck, the drift-friendly truck even came with a NASCAR V8, while the downforce hardware found across its body was the creation of a web-famous digital artist.
Returning to this Tacoma, pixel master Yasid Design, who is the one behind the visual exercise, has come up with an all-carbon approach for thisbed bad boy.
While you let that sink in, make sure to check out the generous arches of the not-a-workhorse-anymore. The aero package of the machine also includes a front end setup mixed with the kind of LED light bar that's hugely popular among truck enthusiasts these days.
We'll quickly go over the low-drag, racing-borrowed door mirrors, since we have something else to discuss. You might be wondering what the noticeable roof scoop of the truck is all about. Well, this feeds the cooling goodies in the bed with fresh air, so it's definitely not there just for the show.
Now that we've reached the posterior of the Toyota, we have to talk about the exhaust - the crosshair-style quadruple tips sit quite high, and there's a reason for this - the space beneath them has been cleared for that massive diffuser (note that the build keeps it clean, not requiring a wing).
What about the cabin? This is were eye candy-grade color-coding sees the color of the safety harness matching that of the extended roll cage, because why not?
