Toyota have officially confirmed that they will be bringing the iQ EV all-electric city car concept, to the Paris Motor Show. Visually, the iQ EV differs slightly from the regular model, as it is 135 mm longer overall, and gets special drag-reducing rims, as well as a two tone black and white paintjob.
It features a 12 kWh battery pack which can be fast-charged to 80% of its capacity in a record 15 minutes, with a regular charge taking no more than three hours. It is placed in the floorpan of the chassis, where it is best protected in the event of an accident.

On the inside, it features the standard iQ interior, albeit one with a few white accents. The driver will be able to access all information regarding the state of the vehicle via a 3.5-inch screen located atop the center console.

The battery allows the iQ EV to travel up to 85 km on a single charge, and it powers a 63 hp / 163 Nm engine which can push it all the way to 135 km/h. It can also complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 14 seconds. While Toyota has not announced plans to put it into production, if they did, it would be a very tempting proposition for city car buyers of a green persuasion.

autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
