Want to see something scary? You’ve come to the right place, as this Toyota GT 86 bears a monstrous engine under its hood.
RS-R and Flatwell thought that a modified flat four is not an option for the new Formula D Asian series, so they swapped it with the huge 700 hp TRD V8 engine that powers Toyota NASCAR racers.
It looks like the GT 86 was made for engine swaps as there is enough room in the engine bay even for a V8 and all the modifications needed were to weld some brackets for it. Still, this is not your regular customized ride from the shop downtown, it’s a pure racecar, with stripped interior, rollcage, sequential gearbox and lots of modifications.
