It is the third consecutive year that Toyota is nominated as the most environmentally caring automaker by the annual Best Global Green Brands report.
More than 10,000 clients have recognized the Japanese automaker for its commitment to sustainable environmental leadership and investment in ground-breaking products, like the Prius and the programs for reducing greenhouse gases and energy consumption.

Toyota UK’s environmental program for example, saved more than 3,700 tons of CO2 in 2012, thus reducing its carbon footprint by 15 percent. The plant in Burnaston is Toyota’s first centre for hybrid vehicle production using the largest solar panel arrays, being able to provide energy to product 7,000 cars per year.

The second spot in the top was taken by Ford, followed by Honda and Nissan, the latter managing to climb 16 spots since the last year report.
