Toyota RAV4 UK Pricing
Toyota’s new RAV4, now in its fourth generation, has just received its pricing information for the UK, along with a list of engines it will be available with, and frankly there are no real surprises on either front. Set to go on sale in Britain from March 1, 2013, the all-new RAV4 starts at £22,595, which rises to £29,295 for a range-topper.
Owners can choose between three trim levels, called Active, Icon and Invincible, the first two of which being the same as on the recently-launched Verso MPV. In base Active spec, the RAV4 gets a lot of kit as standard, including 17-inch alloys, four electric windows, LED DRLs, hill start assist, ESP and air-con.

Icon adds 18-inch rims (on AWD models), a touchscreen infotainment system, powered tailgate, cruise control and sports front seats, to name but a few, while Invincible trim garnishes the RAV4 with such luxuries as full leather upholstery, keyless entry and go, rear parking sensors and an illuminated entry system.

Engines-wise, the RAV4 is as simple as a car can get, with three units to choose from, one petrol (which you will want to avoid), as it`s a 2.0-liter coupled to a CVT gearbox, and it may be quite bad on fuel, especially since the two other engines, both diesels, are a much better bet.

First we have the 2.0-liter D-4D unit, which can only be had with a manual six-cog gearbox. It probably makes around 126 hp (if the old model is anything to go by), while the second engine, a 2.2-liter unit makes 150 hp, and it can be coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox, but only on AWD models.
