Toyota and Lexus Top Consumer Reports Annual Reliability Rankings

For more than a decade, no other automaker could beat the Japanese in the reliability game, which occupied the top five or six positions. This year, however, things have changed a bit and other automakers made their way up. Don’t worry, they haven’t dethroned the Japanese yet.
Consumer Reports has released its annual Auto Reliability Rankings and the top spots are occupied by, guess who? Right, Toyota and Lexus got most of the votes and beat the rest with their bulletproof mechanics.

Third place was gained by Acura, while the fourth one was surprisingly occupied by Audi, proving a steady improvement in vehicle reliability during recent years.

Conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center, the survey is believed to be the largest of its kind, the findings being based on over 1.1 million subscriber experiences.
