Tour Bus Crashes, Teen Star Miranda Cosgrove Left Injured

She is loved by both adults and teens, and little girls wish to become her when they grow up. Actress and pop recording artist Miranda Crosgrove, who is better known from playing the title character in American sitcom iCarly, is a true teen phenomenon.

So just the thought that such a sweet girl like that could end up injured from a car crash gives us goose bumps.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened yesterday, as her tour bus was involved in a car accident in Illinois, The Daily Mail reports.

Following the crash, Cosgrove suffered a broken ankle. But she wasn’t the only one, as there were six other people reportedly injured in the incident, one of them even had to be airlifted from the scene to a trauma centre.

According to the police officers, there was initially a crash involving an overturned big truck reported, followed by a second collision involving Cosgrove’s tour bus and the overturned truck. As can see in the adjacent image, the bus appears to have sustained significant damage, as it was even necessary to be towed away from the scene.

“There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle. At the time, we are told everyone will be fine,” her spokesperson told People.com.

As for the teen star, who last year became the highest paid child star on television, she is now forced to scrap her 41-date Dancing Crazy Summer Tour, which was expected to play Wichita, Kansas today.
