Zac Efron’s Surprisingly Choice: an Audi S6

It's not often that you see a teen star choosing a mid-size luxury executive car, but Zac Efron did it. The 21-year-old singer and actor is one of those teenagers that fools you with that innocent look and then takes you by surprise.

This is that moment when you see his puppy-dog eyes and think of a blue S5 cabriolet, but he slams you in the face with an Audi S6 instead, as we found out from celebritycarsblog.com.

Perhaps you are having difficulties identifying Zac Efron without Vanessa Hudgens standing in front of him with sparkle in her eyes, holding hands, and singing about how sorry they are that high school is over. Yes, we are talking about the star from the teenage movie High School Musical, the same movie that helped Efron gain recognition among teenage audiences as both an actor and a singer.

Taking a look at his ride, this 2009 Audi S6 is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 engine (four valves per cylinder). Beside the 19-inch Alloy wheels, the new S6 comes with a long list of standard safety equipment: the latest generation of ESP, brake assist and Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD). So maybe the car doesn’t fit Zac from the image point of view, but at least he took his safety measures.

Efron is also currently fixing up two cars in his spare time, a Delorean and '65 Mustang convertible, both treasured hand-me-downs from his grandfather. The DeLorean DMC-12 is a sports car manufactured by the DeLorean Motor Company and was the only model ever produced by the company.

The DMC-12 featured gull-wing doors with a fiberglass "underbody", to which non-structural brushed stainless steel panels were affixed. A DeLorean was featured as a home-made time machine in the Back to the Future movie trilogy.
