A little late, perhaps, but we now have a walkaround video of the Dodge Viper ACR that the new Top Gear crew used in Episode 1.
Why is this important? Because the old Top Gear from the Clarkson era was notoriously inactive on Youtube and Facebook. It usually took them several years to upload a video and even then it wasn't complete.

This is the same British journalist that did all those drag races and quizzed Chris Harris on engine sounds a week ago. In his words, "you don't see many of these around Britain."

Car walkaround videos are big business these days. It started off slowly with people like Shmee150 and blossomed into an entire industry of people with cameras and dealer connections.

In typical Top Gear style, some of the important details are left out of the walkaround. For example, he tells us that the side exhaust system is "super cool" without mentioning that it gets insanely hot against your leg.

The Viper ACR can hardly be called a normal car, but it does hold 13 lap records at some of the most famous tracks in the United States. A standard walkaround is also supposed to give you the specs, but they forgot to do that as well.

Nevermind, we've got it covered! Under the hood of this beast is an 8.4-liter OHV 20-valve V10 engine producing 645 horsepower at 6,200rpm and 600 lb-ft of torque. This is used to power the 3,368 lbs Viper though a 6-speed manual. The price for one of these starts at $120,000, and we haven't been able to find anybody who can sell one in Britain. So yes, it's an irrelevant machine over there.

If you want something similar, you'll have to look at something like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Or better yet, you could wait for the Mercedes-AMG GT-R to debut and buy that.
